Seat dress cover yang sering disebut sebagai penutup/pelapis jok kursi, merupakan bagian penting dari pengalaman penumpang. Produk ini dirancang menjaga kursi tetap bersih, terlindungi dari kerusakan, dan memberikan tampilan yang elegan dalam kabin pesawat.
Apa yang membuat kemitraan kreatif ini begitu istimewa? Menurut Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, dikutip dalam keterangan resminya, Jumat 10 Oktober 2023, ialah penggunaan kulit lokal Garut Makmur Perkasa, yang dikerjakan melalui proses sederhana, namun menghasilkan produk berkualitas tinggi yang mendapatkan sertifikasi.
“Proses pengembangan seat dress cover ini menjadi contoh nyata dari inovasi dan dedikasi dari BAT (Batam Aero Technic),” ujarnya.

Pusat perawatan pesawat Lion Air Group ini, tambah Danang, berhasil menggabungkan pemberdayaan (pembimbingan/ mentoring), kreativitas berteknologi sederhana, serta menghasilkan produk aviasi yang memenuhi standar internasional penerbangan.
Kemitraan kreatif ini, lanjutnya memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan:
- Peningkatan aspek kenyamanan duduk, kebersihan, atau bahkan elemen estetis yang membuat penumpang merasa lebih santai dan senang selama penerbangan, sehingga menambahkan nilai pengalaman perjalanan bagi penumpang.
- Dengan melibatkan produk lokal dalam proses produksi, kemitraan ini membuka peluang baru memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perekonomian lokal serta menyediakan potensi pekerjaan bagi warga setempat.
- Berperan terhadap kemajuan sektor penerbangan Indonesia dan berkontribusi membentuk masa depan industri yang semakin mampu berkompetisi di pasar global.
Proses perjalanan menuju standar penerbangan internasional, menurut Danang, melibatkan berbagai tahap yang meliputi persetujuan badan survei dan pengujian teknis oleh regulator, yaitu Kementerian Perhubungan, hingga akhirnya memperoleh sertifikasi “Parts Manufacturer Approval” (PMA), yang menunjukkan bahwa komponen tersebut memenuhi kualifikasi tingkat keamanan dan kualitas penerbangan yang ketat.
“Kemitraan kreatif BAT dan GMP adalah tonggak sejarah yang memperlihatkan kerja sama antara industri aviasi besar dan produsen kulit lokal mampu menciptakan dampak positif yang luar biasa dalam perekonomian Indonesia,” ujar Danang.
Danang mengatakan, produk-produk asli Indonesia telah menjadi komponen yang tak terpisahkan dalam pertumbuhan pesat industri transportasi penerbangan, meningkatkan citra produk Indonesia di tingkat internasional. Untuk itu, Batam Aero Technic terus mendukung perjalanan kreativitas dan inovasi dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya material lokal dari Garut Makmur Perkasa untuk menciptakan produk aviasi yang bersertifikasi.
