SIARDALY, Jakarta – Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) bersama Badan Usaha Jalan Tol (BUJT) terus melanjutkan pembangunan Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera. Salah satunya, ruas Indrapura-Kisaran sepanjang 47,75 kilometer yang ditargerkan tuntas pembangunannya di akhir 2023.
Menteti PUPR, Basuki Hadimuljono mengatakan, kehadiran jalan tol Indrapura-Kisaran akan menurunkan biaya logistik, serta memangkas waktu tempuh distribusi barang dan jasa antar wilayah. “Disamping itu, mendorong pertumbuhan pusat-pusat ekonomi baru, khususnya kawasan yang berada di sekitar on/off ramp jalan tol,” kata dia dalam keterangan resminya, Rabu 27 September 2023.

Pembangunan jalan tol Kisaran – Indrapura terbagi dalam dua seksi. Seksi 1 sepanjang 15,6 km yang menghubungkan Indrapura–Limapuluh. Sedangkan seksi 2 sepanjang 32,15 km, menghubungkan Limapuluh–Kisaran.
Berdasarkan data Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) Kementerian PUPR, untuk progres konstruksi seksi 1 saat ini telah rampung dan dilakukan Uji Laik Fungsi (ULF) pada awal September 2023 lalu. Sedangkan untuk seksi 2, masih dalam tahal konstruksi sebesar 83,99 persen.
Jalan tol ini dibangun dengan nilai investasi sebesar Rp 6,05 triliun dan dikelola oleh Badan Usaha Jalan Tol PT Hutama Karya (Persero). Infrastruktur di Sumatera Utara tersebut, menghubungkan Kabupaten Batubara di sisi Utara dan Kabupaten Asahan di sisi Selatan.
Jalan Tol Indrapura-Kisaran nantinya akan menghubungkan sentra produksi peningkatan perekonomian bagi masyarakat pada wilayah yang terkoneksi, khususnya dari daerah wilayah Medan menuju Kisaran dan sekitarnya, dengan mempercepat waktu tempuh yang biasanya sekitar empat jam menjadi dua jam.
Infrastruktur ini diharapkan bisa membuka peluang usaha baru bagi masyarakat di sekitarnya. Selain itu, kehadiran jalan tol tersebut juga diharapkan dapat mempermudah akses ke berbagai destinasi wisata yang ada di Sumatera Utara dan sekitarnya, karena akan terhubung dengan ruas Kuala Tanjung – Tebing Tinggi – Parapat yang mempermudah akses wisatawan, khususnya dari Kota Medan menuju Destinasti Pariwisata Super Prioritas (DPSP) Danau Toba dan Pelabuhan Kuala Tanjung.
Seksi 1 Jalan Tol Tebing Tinggi – Indrapura & Sebagian Seksi 2 Indrapura – Kuala Tanjung bagian dari Jalan Tol Kuala Tanjung – Tebing Tinggi – Parapat juga telah selesai konstruksinya dan dilakukan Uji Laik Fungsi (ULF) pada awal September 2023 lalu. (asp)
