SIARDAILY, Seoul – Hyundai Motor Group mencatatkan 10 juta pengguna connected car service secara global pada bulan ini. Capaian ini direngkuh hanya dalam waktu satu tahun dan 10 bulan, setelah meraih lima juta pengguna pada Agustus 2021.
Pertumbuhan yang signifikan tersebut, mendukung percepatan strategi Hyundai Motor Group menuju Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV).
Connected car service menggunakan jaringan nirkabel untuk mengaktifkan sistem infotainment di kendaraan dan aplikasi smartphone yang memberikan pengguna kenyamanan akses terhadap kendaraannya.
Layanan ini berkembang pesat dan tidak hanya menawarkan fungsi dasar seperti navigasi real-time, voice recognition, dan remote vehicle control, tetapi juga menghadirkan fitur inovatif seperti over-the-air (OTA) updates, pembayaran di dalam kendaraan, serta streaming audio dan video. Adapun Hyundai Motor, Kia, dan Genesis saat ini menyediakan Bluelink, Kia Connect, dan Genesis Connected services.
Vice President of the Infotainment Development Center Hyundai Motor Group, Hae-Young Kwon mengatakan, Hyundai memiliki tujuan untuk mengakselerasi transisi menuju era SDV dengan terus fokus pada teknologi dan software yang mampu menghubungkan tiap perjalanan secara seamless.
“Kami akan terus mengekspansi ekosistem layanan ini, untuk menghadirkan solusi mobilitas yang lebih terpersonalisasi bagi pelanggan,” ujarnya, seperti dikutip dari keterangannya, Rabu 28 Juni 2023.
Hyundai Motor Group pertama kali memperkenalkan connected car service di Korea Selatan pada 2003, dan terus memperluas layanan tersebut ke pasar global. Layanan ini pertama kali berekspansi ke luar negeri dengan hadir di Amerika Serikat pada Juni 2011, disusul ke China, Eropa, India, dan Singapura. Kini, layanan tersebut tersedia bagi pelanggan di lebih dari 50 negara.
Jumlah pengguna secara global mencapai satu juta pada Mei 2018, kemudian lima juta pada Agustus 2021, delapan juta pada Oktober 2022, dan 10 juta di bulan ini. Data ini menunjukkan pertumbuhannya yang pesat. Dengan semakin luasnya pasar global untuk layanan ini, jumlah pengguna di luar Korea Selatan tumbuh lebih cepat dibanding pengguna di Korea Selatan.
Dengan tren pertumbuhan tersebut, Hyundai Motor Group memprediksi akan mencapai 20 juta pengguna di seluruh dunia, termasuk di Korea Selatan, pada akhir 2026.
Ke depan, Hyundai Motor Group berencana mengekspansi connected car service ke pasar Asia Tenggara, dengan memperkuat kolaborasi bersama penyedia layanan kenamaan di dunia untuk terus mengembangkan layanan inovatif yang dapat memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan pengguna.
Lebih lanjut, connected car service akan terus ditingkatkan sejalan dengan visi Hyundai Motor Group terhadap transisi ke sistem SDV. Hyundai Motor Group mengungkapkan strategi untuk SDV dalam ajang ‘Unlock the Software Age’ pada October 2022, sekaligus mengumumkan untuk mulai menyediakan OTA software updates di semua model kendaraan yang akan datang.
Berdasarkan arsitektur domain-centralized, Hyundai Motor Group fokus mengintegrasikan kontrol kendaraan pada empat domain, yaitu kelistrikan dan kenyamanan, performa berkendara, infotainment, dan advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Nantinya, integrasi ini akan terus berkembang dengan pendekatan arsitektur yang terpusat untuk kontrol yang lebih terpadu.
Hyundai Motor Group juga tengah mengembangkan software dan perangkat-perangkat terkait berdasarkan perspektif user experience yang holistik. Dengan begitu, perangkat terkait dapat terhubung dengan berbagai layanan untuk menciptakan ekosistem mobilitas baru. Dari perspektif itu pula, data mobilitas yang kaya dan artificial intelligence (AI) akan memahami pengguna untuk memberikan pengalaman yang terkoneksi dengan natural. (asp)
