SIARDAILY, Jakarta – Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Udara Kementerian Perhubungan kembali membuka operasional Bandara Internasional Minangkabau yang berada di Provinsi Sumatera Barat pada hari ini. Bandara ini sempat ditutup, karena terdampak erupsi Gunung Marapi.
Pembukaan kembali operasional bandara, karena tidak ditemukan adanya tanda sebaran abu erupsi vulkanik Gunung Marapi berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan Kantor Otoritas Bandar Udara Wilayah VI Padang, serta berdasarkan prediksi dari VAAC Darwin, PVMBG, BMKG, dan paper test di lapangan dengan hasil negatif volcanic ash.
Adapun penerbangan yang terdampak akibat erupsi Gunung Marapi, yaitu 16 penerbangan untuk kedatangan ke Bandara Internasional Minangkabau, dan 13 penerbangan untuk keberangkatan.
“Untuk penerbangan yang terdampak kemarin, semua sudah teratasi. Penumpang telah ditawarkan pilihan untuk melakukan refund, reschedule maupun re-route sesuai ketentuan berlaku,” ujar Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Udara, M. Kristi Endah Murni, seperti dikutip dari keterangan resminya, Sabtu 7 Januari 2024.

Kristi mengaku telah menghimbau kepada maskapai penerbangan untuk memberikan kompensasi kepada penumpang yang membeli tiket dengan memberikan opsi full refund, reschedule, ataupun re-route ke bandara terdekat jika seat masih tersedia, agar dapat membantu penumpang yang terkena dampak penutupan bandara.
Otoritas Bandar Udara Wilayah VI Padang, juga diinstruksikan agar terus berkoordinasi secara intensif dengan stakeholder terkait dalam hal perkembangan informasi Gunung Marapi. “Pemantauan situasi dan koordinasi intensif sangat diperlukan dalam penanganan force majeure ini, agar dapat mengambil langkah-langkah yang diperlukan demi keselamatan, keamanan dan kenyamanan penerbangan,” ujar Kristi.
Seperti diketahui, Bandara Internasional Minangkabau Padang ditutup sementara operasionalnya kemarin, sebagai langkah mitigasi akibat adanya abu Gunung Marapi yang terdeteksi melalui pengamatan lapangan, berupa paper test yang dilakukan pada pukul 07.00 s.d. 10.15 WIB, Jumat (5/1).
Penutupan bandara diumumkan melalui Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) dengan Nomor B0030/24 NOTAMN mulai pukul 10.45 WIB sampai dengan pemberitahuan selanjutnya, karena alasan keselamatan penerbangan, terutama adalah sebaran abu vulkanik dapat membahayakan dan menghentikan kerja mesin pesawat terbang.
Berdasarkan informasi, abu gunung berapi ini berdampak pada 29 penerbangan. Akibatnya, satu penerbangan harus kembali ke bandara asal atau return to base dan satu lainnya harus mengalihkan pendaratan ke bandara lainnya. (asp)
