SIARDAILY, Jakarta – Kementerian Perindustrian atau Kemenperin menggagas konsep Eco Industrial Park (EIP) sebagai solusi untuk mencapai pembangunan industri yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. EIP tidak hanya memperhatikan aspek ekonomi, tetapi juga aspek lingkungan, sosial, dan efisiensi sumber daya.
“Dengan fokus ini, diharapkan Indonesia dapat mencapai target Net Zero Emission Tahun 2050,” kata Staf Ahli Bidang Iklim Usaha dan Investasi Kemenperin, Doddy Rahadi di Jakarta, Kamis 14 Maret 2024.
Menurut Doddy, meskipun di tengah situasi ekonomi global yang melambat, Indonesia berhasil mempertahankan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang stabil, terutama dalam sektor manufaktur. Capaian positif ini, merupakan hasil kerja keras dari semua pihak yang terlibat dalam menggerakkan industri di Indonesia.
“Di samping itu, pengembangan kawasan industri yang ramah lingkungan menjadi fokus penting dalam meningkatkan investasi dan daya saing Indonesia,” ujarnya.
Pada 6 Maret lalu, dilaksanakan penandatanganan Final Event Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme – Indonesia (GEIPP-Indonesia) Phase I, serta peluncuran Phase II, yang menjadi momentum penting dalam upaya menjaga keberlanjutan ekonomi dan lingkungan Indonesia. Ini merupakan wujud nyata dari hasil kerja sama antara Kemenperin dengan United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) dan Kedutaan Besar Konfederasi Swiss.
“Kami memberikan apresiasi yang mendalam atas kerja sama ini, karena telah berhasil mengantarkan program GEIPP sejak tahun 2019 hingga saat ini. Kegiatan ini menandai akhir dari fase pertama dan awal fase kedua dari program tersebut,” tutur Doddy.

Menurutnya, Indonesia menjadi salah satu negara pilot project dalam GEIPP oleh UNIDO. Berdasarkan hasil GEIPP fase pertama saat Final Event GEIPP di Vienna pada 7 November 2023 lalu, jika dibandingkan dengan tujuh negara yang telah dipresentasikan. Indonesia memiliki kinerja terbaik pada manajemen kawasan dan aspek sosial. “Pengembangan kawasan industri yang ramah lingkungan menjadi fokus penting dalam meningkatkan investasi dan daya saing Indonesia,” ungkapnya.
Namun demikian, fokus juga akan diperkuat pada aspek lingkungan dan ekonomi dalam fase kedua. Selain menambah dua kawasan industri pilot project, Kemenperin akan membentuk EIP Center di Gedung PIDI 4.0 Jakarta pada fase kedua. Hal ini menunjukkan komitmen untuk menjadi teladan dalam penerapan EIP.
“Kehadiran para perwakilan kawasan industri dan tenan pada acara ini, menjadi bukti nyata akan komitmen bersama untuk menggalang pembangunan industri yang ramah lingkungan,” tambah Doddy.
Doddy menegaskan, Kemenperin mengeluarkan Keputusan Menteri Nomor 3174 Tahun 2022 terkait Forum Antar Kementerian untuk mendukung penerapan EIP di Indonesia. Forum ini bertujuan untuk menyusun konsep EIP kawasan industri dan memberikan pedoman bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam memetakan kawasan industri berwawasan lingkungan.
“Bapak menteri mendorong agar keputusan ini ditingkatkan menjadi Peraturan Menteri untuk menjadi pedoman teknis dalam penerapan EIP,” ujarnya.
Doddy optimistis, melalui kerja sama lintas sektoral dan dukungan dari pemerintah serta lembaga internasional, Indonesia akan berkomitmen untuk mempercepat pengembangan EIP. “Program GEIPP ini akan memberikan kontribusi positif yang signifikan pada pengembangan industri yang berkelanjutan di Indonesia sesuai dengan komitmen NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution) Indonesia dalam Paris Agreement,” tegasnya.
