SIARDAILY, Jakarta— Restoran Minang The New Natrabu yang berlokasi di Grand Mangku Putra Arcade (GMPA) Cilegon dinobatkan sebagai Restoran Minang Terbesar di Dunia oleh Museum Rekor Dunia-Indonesia (MURI). Penyerahan piagam penghargaan diserahkan langsung Pendiri MURI Jaya Suprana di Museum MURI, Mall of Indonesia Jakarta, Kamis, 16 Juni 2022.
Apresiasi tersebut diberikan MURI karena The New Natrabu Cilegon merupakan satu-satunya restoran Minang di dunia yang memiliki kapasitas tempat duduk terbanyak yakni sekitar 1.000 kursi. Selain itu, restoran ini juga dilengkapi area pendaratan helikopter (helipad) pribadi yang dapat digunakan oleh tetamu di The New Natrabu Cilegon. Restoran ini sempat viral beberapa waktu lalu dan lebih dikenal sebagai Restoran Minang Para “Sultan”.

“Pemberian rekor dunia ini betul-betul mengharukan dan membanggakan kita semua, sekaligus memperlihatkan betapa hebatnya ketahanan nasional bangsa Indonesia. Karena di masa-masa sulit pandemi ini masih banyak pengusaha yang bertarung membuka lapangan kerja seperti Restoran Minang The New Natrabu Cilegon,” kata Jaya Suprana saat memberikan piagam MURI kepada Presiden Direktur Riyadh Group Indonesia, Bally Saputra Datuk Janosati dan Presiden Direktur PT Grand Mangku Putra (GMP), Tb Iman Ariyadi.
Tampak pula hadir Crish G Sultan selaku Owner Restoran Natrabu dan Direktur Utama MURI Aylawati Sarwono.
The New Natrabu Cilegon merupakan kerjasama antara anak perusahaan PT Riyadh Group Indonesia, PT Bally Internasional Hotel&Convention Centre yang mengelola kawasan mixed-use Grand Mangku Putra Arcade (GMPA) Cilegon dengan Restoran Natrabu.
Lebih lanjut Jaya Suprana yakin bahwa anugerah MURI kepada The New Natrabu Cilegon akan menjadikan restoran Minang tersebut sebagai destinasi kuliner dan wisata unggulan, khususnyadi Cilegon. “Sebagai restoran peraih MURI saya yakin The New Natrabu Cilegon akan terus membuat program dan inovasi yang kolosal dan monumental,” kata Filantropis dan Budayawan tersebut.
Presiden Direktur PT Grand Mangku Putra (GMP), Tb Iman Ariyadi menyampaikan terimakasih atas apresiasi dan penghargaan yang diberikan MURI kepada salah satu unit usaha mereka yakni The New Natrabu Cilegon sebagai Restoran Minang Terbesar di Dunia. Rekor MURI ini akan menjadi motivasi dan penyemangat bagi seluruh tim di The New Natrabu Cilegon, GMP dan Riyadh Group Indonesia.
“Rekor ini adalah semangat, sehingga kami bisa terus melakukan inovasi terhadap pelayanan, fasilitas dan tentunya rasa masakan di restoran. Rekor MURI ini bukan capaian jangka pendek kami, tetapi ke depan justru menjadi tantangan besar untuk terus semakin baik,” kata Iman dalam keterangannya, Jumat (17/6/2022).
Menurutnya, prestasi ini juga menjadi embrio untuk pengembangan kawasan terpadu GMPA ke depan, seiring akan dikerjakannya sejumlah rencana bisnis seperti pengembangan lifestyle mall dan kondotel.
Iman menegaskan bahwa pengembangan usaha yang dilakukan pihaknya di GMPA diharapkan membawa dampak ekonomi besar bagi masyarakat sekitar lewat pembukaan lapangan kerja, dan tentunya meningkatkan pemasukan asli daerah (PAD).
Go International
Presiden Direktur Riyadh Group Indonesia, Bally Saputra Datuk Janosati menyebutkan bahwa pihaknya sama sekali tidak pernah bercita-cita atau terpikir untuk mendapatkan rekor MURI. Namun ternyata MURI memantau apa yang mereka lakukan dan jalankan selama dua bulan ini di The New Natrabu Cilegon.
“Alhamdulillah, dua bulan kami jalankan usaha restoran ini sudah bisa memperoleh rekor dunia ini. Tentu sangat membanggakan dan akan memacu kami untuk berinovasi lebih baik lagi,” ujar Konsul Jenderal Kehormatan Nepal untuk Indonesia tersebut.
Bally menceritakan semula Riyadh Group Indonesia ingin fokus dalam pengembangan bisnis hospitality. Namun karena saat itu ekonomi sedang lesu dan pandemi Covid-19 kemudian datang mendera, maka akhirnya terpikir untuk berkolaborasi membuka restoran Minang dengan menggandeng Restoran Natrabu dan PT GMPA selaku pemilik tempat.
“Saya berpikir lokasi GMPA ini butuh sesuatu yang baru yang dapat mendongkrak nama kawasan. Sesuatu hal baru yang mampu menjadi pintu masuk bagi pengembangan proyek mixed-use ini ke depan, apalagi belum ada proyek kompetitor lain di Cilegon, sehingga kami harus lakukan usaha lebih,” ujar Sekretaris Badan Pertimbangan Organisasi (BPO) DPP REI tersebut.
Akhirnya The New Natrabu Cilegon soft opening pada 16 April 2022 lalu, bersamaan dibukanya layanan helikopter bekerjasama dengan Helicity. Kemudian pada 16 Juni 2022, The New Natrabu Cilegon berhasil meraih rekor MURI.

Bally menambahkan, rekor MURI juga semakin memacu pihaknya untuk terus mengembangkan jaringan The New Natrabu ke seluruh Indonesia dan mancanegara (go international). Menurutnya, sejumlah anggota REI sudah menyatakan keinginan untuk membuka cabang restoran di kota/daerah-nya.
“Kami juga akan go international dengan mengajak kerjasama teman-teman REI dan FIABCI (Federasi Realestat Dunia) untuk berinvestasi. Karena di luar negeri itu sewa tempat sangat mahal, nah anggota FIABCI itu tersebar luas di semua negara dan memiliki banyak aset properti. Kita akan ajak mereka (bekerjasama),” kata Bally antusias.
Dalam waktu dekat, The New Natrabu sedang menyiapkan cabang di Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, New York dan London.Selain itu akan dibuka Akademi Chef The New Natrabu untuk mendidik 100 chef yang akan disebar di semua cabang yang dibuka sehingga cita rasa masakan tetap terjaga.
“Kami bercita-cita menjadikan The New Natrabu sebagai pintu gerbang pariwisata Sumatera Barat dan Indonesia di seluruh dunia. Lewat restoran Minang, kita go international,” pungkas Bally. (zh1)
