SIARDAILY, Palembang – Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) mengungkapkan kunci dan strategi dalam penanganan kekurangan kebutuhan atau backlog perumahan di Indonesia.
“Dari data Susenas tahun 2023, backlog kepemilikan rumah mengalami penurunan dari sebelumnya pada tahun 2020, sebesar 12,75 juta menjadi 9,9 juta unit. Sedangkan persentase dan jumlah rumah tangga yang tidak memiliki akses terhadap hunian yang layak, juga mengalami penurunan dari tahun 2020 sebesar 29,4 juta menjadi 26,9 juta rumah tangga,” kata Direktur Jenderal (Dirjend) Perumahan Kementerian PUPR, Iwan Suprijanto dalam keterangan resminya, Selasa 16 Januari 2024.

Menurut Iwan, kunci utama penanganan backlog adalah kolaborasi dari seluruh pemangku kepentingan bidang perumahan, mulai dari pemerintah pusat, pemerintah daerah, pengembang, perbankan, masyarakat, serta kepedulian sosial sektor swasta. Dengan demikian, masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah (MBR) yang bekerja di sektor informal, juga bisa merasakan manfaat dari program perumahan di Indonesia.
Kementerian PUPR, tambah Iwan, juga terus menjalankan kebijakan, serta melaksanakan strategi dalam program perumahan selama tahun 2020 – 2024. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan pemenuhan kebutuhan rumah layak huni, terutama untuk MBR.
Beberapa strategi yang dilaksanakan antara lain pertama, mengoptimalkan penyediaan rumah layak huni dengan melanjutkan Program Sejuta Rumah. Kedua, menyediakan sistem regulasi yang harmonis, memanfaatkan teknologi dan meningkatkan koordinasi untuk mendukung kolaborasi antarstakeholder dalan rangka memperkuat Program Sejuta Rumah dan strategi ketiga adalah dengan mempercepat penyediaan rumah layak huni melalui implementasi skema penyediaan perumahan yang inovatif.
“Kami juga mendorong inovasi bidang perumahan seperti pembangunan hunian berkelanjutan dan RITTA (Rumah Inti Tumbuh Tahan Gempa) dengan kolaborasi multi stakeholder melalui pendanaan CSR. Dengan demikian, MBR ke depan bisa mengembangkan unit rumah sesuai kebutuhan keluarganya, namun struktur rumah yang dibangun sudah tahan gempa,” tuturnya. (asp)
