SIARDAILY, Penajam Paser Utara – Pembangunan jaringan jalan yang menghubungkan Kota Balikpapan dengan Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan (KIPP) Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) di Penajam Paser Utara, utamanya Jalan Tol IKN terus dikebut. Ditargetkan, jalan tol IKN tahap satu rampung terbangun pada tahun ini.
“Terus perhatikan dan pastikan kualitasnya, karena Jalan Tol IKN ini harus lebih baik kualitasnya dibandingkan jalan tol lain yang sudah kita bangun. Jika ada kendala, segera identifikasi dan perbaiki. Pada Juli 2024, harus sudah selesai untuk tahap satu dan bisa dioperasikan,” kata Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, seperti dikutip dari keterangan resminya, Sabtu 20 Januari 2024.

Untuk tahap satu, pembangunan Jalan Tol IKN saat ini sudah berjalan pada tiga seksi, yakni Seksi 3A Karangjoang-KKT Kariangau sepanjang 13,4 kilometer dengan progres 48 persen, Seksi 3B KKT Kariangau-Simpang Tempadung sepanjang 7,3 km dengan proges 57 persen, dan Seksi 5A Simpang Tempadung-Jembatan Pulau Balang sepanjang 6,7 km dengan progres 67 persen. Ketiga seksi ini ditargetkan rampung dan fungsional pada Juli 2024.
Sedangkan untuk seksi 6A Riko-Rencana Outer Ring Road IKN dan Seksi 6B Rencana Outer Ring Road-Simpang 3 ITCI, saat ini juga sudah dimulai pengadaan tanah dan konstruksinya dengan progres 4,8 persen pada Seksi 6A dan 17,5 persen pada Seksi 6B.
Jalan Tol IKN ini akan mempersingkat jarak tempuh dari Balikpapan menuju KIPP IKN, yang semulanya apabila melewati Jalan Tol Balikpapan-Samarinda (Balsam) dan Lintas Sepaku membutuhkan waktu sekitar dua jam 15 dengan jarak 95 km, menjadi hanya sekitar 45 menit dengan jarak 57 km. Pada jalan tol ini juga ditanami pohon-pohon endemik Kalimantan di sepanjang sisi kanan-kiri jalan, sesuai prinsip IKN sebagai kota hutan dan kota pintar (smart forest city).
Peningkatan konektivitas menuju IKN juga dilaksanakan dengan melanjutkan kegiatan beautifikasi Jembatan Pulau Balang yang sudah selesai konstruksi pada 2021 lalu. Pekerjaan pengamanan dan beautifikasi mulai dikerjakan sejak September 2022, meliputi instalasi Structural Health Monitoring System (SHMS), armor blok beton, taman lansekap di area gedung Pusat Informasi Jembatan (PIJ), playground, ruko, toilet umum, masjid, pos jaga, floating dock, solar panel, dan amphitheatre.
Konstruksi Jembatan Pulau Balang terdiri dari jembatan utama sepanjang 804 meter, jembatan pendekat sepanjang 167 meter, dan jalan akses sepanjang 1.807 meter. Pekerjaan beautifikasi masuk dalam paket Pelindung Tumbukan Kapal (Fender) dan bangunan pelengkap dengan anggaran APBN senilai Rp306 miliar. (asp)
