SIARDAILY, Sumatera Utara – Anak usaha PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) melanjutkan konstruksi Jalan Tol Binjai Pangkalan Brandan. Jalan tersebut, ditargetkan rampung pembangunannya tahun ini.
Sebelumnya, HKI telah menyelesaikan segmen Binjai – Stabat (12,5 kilometer) yang dioperasikan pada tahun 2022 dan segmen Stabat – Kuala Bingai – Tanjung Pura (25 km) yang menyusul beroperasi pada 2023. Saat ini, HKI tengah menggenjot konstruksi segmen Tanjung Pura-Pangkalan Brandan sepanjang 19,36 km.
Direktur Operasi III HKI, Aditya Novendra mengatakan, hingga akhir Mei 2024, progres penyelesaian segmen Tanjung Pura – Pangkalan Brandan mencapai 92,05 persen.
“Jalan tol ini direncanakan memiliki dua gerbang tol yang masing-masing terletak di Tanjung Pura dan Pangkalan Brandan. Dengan panjang total 57 km, Jalan Tol Binjai – Pangkalan Brandan dapat segera rampung secara menyeluruh di tahun ini,” ujar Aditya dalam keterangan resminya, Senin 1 Juli 2024.

Dia mengaku dalam proses konstruksi yang dilakukan, HKI menghadapi tantangan. Di mana, trase jalan tol melintasi pipa gas alam milik PT Pertamina Gas. Untuk melindungi pipa gas alam dari kelongsoran tanah, HKI melakukan proteksi dengan soldier pile dan konstruksi baja. HKI juga menggunakan geotextile untuk melindungi pipa gas dari matahari.
Pelaksanaan pekerjaan di titik posisi pipa gas pun menggunakan box crossing dengan timbunan yang dilakukan dengan perhitungan teknis dan aspek safety yang matang. Metode box crossing dengan treatment khusus yang melintasi pipa gas alam adalah metode pertama yang dilakukan dari seluruh Proyek Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera (JTTS).
Selain itu, HKI juga melakukan penanganan terhadap beberapa spot tanah lunak dengan prefabricated vertical drain (PVD), prefabricated horizontal drain (PHD), pile embankment, preloading, serta penggunaan pile slab.
“Dalam membangun JTTS, HKI berkomitmen memberikan hasil terbaik dengan tantangan yang tidak mudah. Kami mohon doa dan dukungan masyarakat, agar pembangunan segmen Tanjung Pura – Pangkalan Brandan ini bisa segera kami selesaikan dengan baik,” tutur Aditya.
Hingga saat ini, HKI masih mengerjakan sejumlah proyek pembangunan Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera (JTTS) lainnya seperti Jalan Tol Padang – Sicincin, Junction Palembang-Indralaya, Jalan Tol Lingkar Pekanbaru, serta Jalan Tol Betung – Jambi Seksi 4.
HKI juga mengerjakan proyek Tempat Istirahat dan Pelayanan (TIP) atau rest area Jalan Tol Pekanbaru Dumai dan TIP Jalan Tol Bengkulu – Taba Penanjung. Untuk proyek non JTTS, HKI kini tengah mengerjakan proyek SMO Construction Services di PHR Riau, Jalan Tol Probolinggo – Banyuwangi Paket II, dan Jalan Tol Cikampek Selatan Paket 2A. (asp)
