SIARDAILY, Indralaya – Jalan Tol Simpang Indralaya – Prabumulih sepanjang 64,5 kilometer dan Flyover Patih Galung sepanjang 382 meter diresmikan penggunaannya. Kedua infrastruktur konektivitas ini penting, untuk meningkatkan ekonomi Sumatera bagian Selatan.
Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengatakan, jalan tol tersebut merupakan bagian dari Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera di Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) yang akan meningkatkan mobilitas barang dan jasa, sehingga memacu pertumbuhan ekonomi untuk daya saing bangsa Indonesia semakin baik.
“Saya berikan contoh tadi malam, saya bertemu para tokoh masyarakat dan agama. Mereka menyampaikan, jika dulu dari Palembang ke Lampung memakan waktu 10 sampai 12 jam, sekarang 3,5 jam sudah bisa sampai,” kata Presiden Jokowi didampingi Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono saat acara peresmian, Kamis 26 Oktober 2023.

Menurut Presiden, hal ini menandakan perubahan kecepatan yang luar biasa. Tetapi, capaian tersebut masih jauh, jika dibandingkan negara lain seperti Republik Rakyat Tiongkok yang sudah mempunyai jalan tol dengan panjang sekitar 280 ribu km. “Betapa masih jauhnya daya saing kita, itu yang ingin kita kejar, stok infrastuktur terus harus ditingkatkan,” kata dia.
Ditambahkan Presiden, pembangunan Jalan Tol Simpang Indralaya – Prabumulih senilai Rp13,1 triliun sejak 2018 itu bukan hal yang mudah, sebab memiliki kesulitan yang cukup besar dari segi medan. “Tetapi manfaat bagi negara dan bagi rakyat akan sangat luar biasa, kalau kita bisa menaikkan produktivitas. Artinya, bahwa jalan tol ini harus disambung ke kawasan pertanian, wisata, perkebunan, industri,” ujarnya.
Menteri Basuki mengatakan, secara keseluruhan Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera sepanjang 2.749 km sebanyak 24 ruas tol, terdiri dari koridor utama (backbone) 1.889 km dan koridor pendukung 860 km.
“Kehadiran Jalan Tol Indralaya-Palembang akan mendukung konektivitas dari Lampung-Sumatera Selatan menuju Bengkulu, sehingga memudahkan mobilitas dan memperlancar arus logistik untuk meningkatkan perekonomian Sumsel,” kata dia.
Sementara itu, Ronal, warga Palembang yang berprofesi sebagai driver mengatakan, kehadiran Jalan Tol Indralaya-Palembang dan Flyover Patih Galung sangat membantunya dalam mempercepat waktu tempuh dari Palembang ke Muara Enim.
“Saya kantor di Muara Enim, jadi sering pulang pergi dari Palembang. Sebelum ada Flyover Patih Galung, sering macet, apalagi kalau Kereta Api Batu Bara lewat, antrian kemacetan bisa sampai setengah jam. Bahkan, terkadang hingga satu jam. Sekarang alhamdulillah, tidak ada kemacetan lagi di jalur kereta apinya,” ujarnya.
Ronal juga mengaku, sejak Tol Indrayala-Prabumulih selesai, sekarang waktu tempuh dari Palembang ke Muara Enim hanya sekitar dua jam dari sebelumnya bisa sekitar empat jam. “Harapannya, pembangunan jalan tol terus dilanjutkan pembangunannya hingga ke Muara Enim, sehingga dari Palembang ke Muara Enim bisa lebih cepat tidak sampai dua jam waktu tempuh,” ujarnya.

Atmawidjaja; Kepala Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) Kementerian PUPR, Miftachul Munir; Direktur Utama (Dirut) Hutama Karya, Budi Harto; Dirut Lembaga Manajemen Aset Negara, Basuki Purwadi; Kepala BBPJN Sumatera Selatan Kementerian PUPR, Hardy P Siahaan; dan Kepala BBWS Sumatera VIII, Feriyanto Pawenrusi.
