SIARDAILY, Labuan Bajo – Presiden Joko Widodo kembali meresmikan infrastruktur pendukung pariwisata di Labuan Bajo, yakni Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum (SPAM) Wae Mese II. Sebelumnya, Presiden Joko Widodo telah meresmikan Penataan Kawasan Pulau Rinca, Waterfront Marina dan Sistem Pengelolaan Sampah Warloka.
Prosesi peresmian ditandai dengan penandatanganan prasasti oleh Presiden Joko Widodo yang didampingi oleh Sekretaris Kabinet Pramono Anung, Menteri Perhubungan Budi Karya Sumadi, Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Sandiaga Uno, Menteri Kominfo Johny G. Plate, Gubernur Nusa Tenggara Timur Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat dan Bupati Manggarai Barat Edistasius Endi, Jumat (22/7/2022).

“Pagi hari ini setelah meresmikan beberapa fasilitas di Labuan Bajo selain yang berkaitan dengan penataan kawasan Rinca, penataan kampung, kemudian penataan Marina Labuan Bajo, perluasan bandara, penataan Pulau Rinca, juga untuk sistem pengelolaan sampah. Pagi ini kita meresmikan SPAM di Wae Mese II,” kata Presiden Joko Widodo.
Presiden Joko Widodo mengatakan diresmikannya SPAM Wae Mese II artinya penataan Labuan Bajo harus terintegrasi semua. “Dari airnya, listrik, penataan kawasannya semua terpadu sehingga kebutuhan yang ada bisa dipenuhi karena saya lihat ada peningkatan investasi utamanya hotel,” tambah Presiden Joko Widodo.
SPAM Wae Mese II dibangun dengan kapasitas 100 liter/detik. SPAM Wae Mese II melengkapi SPAM Wae Mese yang sebelumnya telah dibangun dengan kapasitas 40 liter/detik.
Lingkup pekerjaan meliputi pembangunan intake air baku, jaringan perpipaan transmisi air baku, sistem pengolahan air bersih dan reservoir distribusi. Proyek ini dikerjakan pada November 2020 sampai awal 2022 dikerjakan oleh kontraktor PT Amarta Karya dengan nilai kontrak Rp105,05 miliar.
Sumber air berasal dari Sungai Wae Mese dan akan dialirkan ke Reservoir Wae Mata yang berkapasitas 2.000 m3 untuk melayani lima reservoir, yaitu Reservoar Bappeda, Golokoe, Firdaus, Gua Cermin dan DPRD.

Menteri Basuki mengatakan, pembangunan di Labuan Bajo dilakukan secara terpadu bukan hanya untuk meningkatkan pariwisata tetapi juga untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat.
“Dibangunnya Labuan Bajo sebagai destinasi wisata premium pasti membuat kebutuhan air meningkat. Bukan hanya untuk turis, tetapi bagi masyarakat juga. Dibangunnya SPAM Wae Mese II ini akan memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih sekitar 40 ribu penduduk Labuan Bajo atau 70% dari total penduduk,” kata Menteri Basuki. (zh1)
