SIARDAILY, Maluku – Pemerintah melalui Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya Air Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) terus melakukan pembangunan bendungan dan daerah irigasi untuk mendukung terciptanya ketahanan air dan pangan yang ada di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia.
Salah satunya, yaitu pembangunan Bendungan Way Apu yang berada di Kabupaten Buru, Provinsi Maluku.
“Pembangunan bendungan akan diikuti dengan ketersediaan jaringan irigasinya. Dengan demikian, bendungan yang dibangun dapat segera dimanfaatkan, karena airnya dipastikan mengalir sampai ke sawah-sawah milik petani,” kata Menteri PUPR, Basuki Hadimuljono dalam keterangan resminya, Selasa 2 Juli 2024..

Plt. Kepala Balai Wilayah Sungai (BWS) Maluku, Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya Air Kementerian PUPR, Faliansyah mengatakan, pembangunan Bendungan Way Apu yang memiliki kapasitas daya tampung sebesar 50,05 juta meter kubik (m3) tersebut kontraknya dimulai sejak Desember 2017.
“Hingga saat ini, progress konstruksi fisiknya telah mencapai 71,34 persen. Ditargetkan, pembangunan Bendungan Way Apu akan selesai pada tahun ini, sehingga dipercepat agar segera memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat,” kata Faliansyah.
Adapun lingkup pekerjaan yang sedang on going meliputi, pekerjaan penimbunan maincofferdam dan main dam, pencetakan beton precast, pembetonan spillway, galian tanah lereng kanan spillway, proteksi lereng spillway, dan struktur pondasi wing wall sisi kanan.
Kemudian, pekerjaan beton struktur pelimpah samping wing wall, beton struktur pondasi pelimpah berpintu, fabrikasi pembesian struktur spillway, pemasangan pintu hidromekanikal, pekerjaan fasilitas umum, dan pekerjaan viewpoint.
Bendungan yang membendung Sungai Way Apu ini dibangun di atas lahan seluas kurang lebih 422,08 hektare. Bendungannya memiliki tipe zonal urugan inti tegak dengan tinggi mencapai 72 meter, lebar puncak 12 meter, panjang puncak 490 meter, dan luas daerah genangan mencapai 235,10 hektare.
“Bendungan Way Apu diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat Maluku, terutama dalam hal ketersediaan air irigasi seluas 10 ribu hektare, tersedianya air baku dengan debit 0,5 m3/detik, kemampuan mereduksi banjir sebesar 557 m3/detik, sebagai pembangkit listrik berkapasitas 8 MW yang mampu menerangi sekitar 8.750 rumah berkapasitas 900 watt, serta sebagai tempat pariwisata yang akan menumbuhkan perekonomian daerah,” jelas Faliansyah.
Bendungan Way Apu dibangun dengan nilai kontrak sebesar Rp2,15 triliun yang terbagi menjadi dua paket pekerjaan. Paket 1 berupa konstruksi bendungan utama senilai Rp1,11 triliun dilaksanakan oleh PT PP – Adhi Karya KSO. Kemudian, pekerjaan paket 2 berupa konstruksi bendungan pelimpah (spillway) senilai Rp1,04 triliun dilaksanakan oleh PT Hutama Karya – Jaya Konstruksi KSO. (asp)
