SIARDAILY, Penajam Paser Utara – Pemerintah menargetkan proyek Memorial Park Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) pembangunannya selesai pada 16 Agustus 2024, atau satu hari sebelum perayaan upacara HUT ke-79 Republik Indonesia yang diselenggarakan secara hybrid di IKN dan Jakarta.
“Ini adalah event penting, harus bisa dan harus semangat,” kata Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono pada kunjungan kerjanya ke IKN, Senin 24 Juni 2024.

Basuki juga meminta pengindahan Memorial Park untuk segera dikerjakan. “Saya minta untuk mulai ditanami, jangan tunggu pekerjaan selesai biar kelihatan hidup. Saya minta pertengahan Juli sudah rapi, ambience terlihat mau seperti apa,” tambahnya.
Memorial Park dibangun sebagai bentuk penghormatan pada pahlawan pendiri bangsa yang memerdekakan Indonesia. Pembangunan Memorial Park akan terintegrasi dengan kawasan Beranda Nusantara yang akan menjadi point of view di IKN yang mampu menarik perhatian masyarakat, serta para tamu negara yang berkunjung ke IKN.
Memorial Park ini juga akan melengkapi berbagai fasilitas yang dibangun di IKN, termasuk untuk mempersiapkan pelaksanaan upacara peringatan kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia pada Agustus 2024.
Memorial Park IKN dibangun oleh Nindya Karya – Penta KSO dengan biaya Rp335 miliar. Area Memorial Park memiliki luas 2.034 meter persegi (m2), terdiri dari area altar seluas 1.690 m2 dan akses tangga seluas 344 m2, serta dilengkapi dengan infrastruktur jalan dan lanskap. Area terbuka Memorial Park dapat menampung 1.000 orang.
Progres pekerjaan struktur Memorial Park 40 persen, pekerjaan patung 61 persen, progres pekerjaan struktur Bukit Bendera 50 persen, pekerjaan tiang bendera 50 persen, pekerjaan fisik Beranda Nusantara 65 persen.
Rencananya Beranda Nusantara IKN akan digunakan sebagai lokasi upacara HUT RI ke-79 jika hujan turun. Untuk itu, Basuki minta mempercepat penyelesaian Beranda Nusantara. “Saya minta untuk dipercepat, tambah lagi pekerjanya. Minggu kedua Juli, saya harap sudah selesai,” ungkapnya.
Turut hadir mendampingi Menteri Basuki, Wamen ATR/Plt Wakil Kepala Otorita Ibu Kota Nusantara (OIKN), Raja Juli Antoni; Direktur Jenderal Cipta Karya, Diana Kusumastuti; Kasatgas Pelaksanaan Pembangunan Infrastruktur IKN, Danis Sumadilaga; dan Kepala Balai Prasarana Permukiman Wilayah (BPPW) Kalimantan Timur, Rozali Indra Saputra.
