SIARDAILY– Palembang – Flyover Sekip Ujung di Kota Palembang, Sumatera Selatan sepanjang 660 meter persegi, ditargetkan pembangunannya selesai lebih cepat pada awal tahun depan, atau Februari 2024. Sedangkan di kontrak, akan selesai pada April 2024.
“Rencana soft launching awal Februari 2024. PT Waskita Karya harus bisa,” kata Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono dalam testimoni tertulisnya usai meninjau progres pembangunan Flyover Sekip Ujung di Palembang, Kamis 10 Agustus 2023.
Basuki mengatakan, pembangunan flyover ini menjadi kunci untuk mengurai kemacetan. Dengan lalu lintas yang semakin lancar, diharapkan akan mempernudah pergerakan orang dan barang, serta meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah.
“Pembangunan infrastruktur jembatan, flyover dan underpass akan memperlancar konektivitas dan aksesibilitas lalu lintas. Di samping itu akan memberikan alternatif bagi warga untuk meningkatkan produktivitas perekonomian,” kata Menteri Basuki.

Flyover Sekip Ujung dibangun sejak Juni 2022, untuk mengurai kemacetan yang kerap terjadi di ruas Jalan Basuki Rahmad-Jalan R. Sukamto dan ruas Jalan Amphibi-Jalan Angkatan 66, Kota Palembang, Sumatera Selatan.
Pembangunan Flyover Sekip Ujung memiliki panjang 660 meter, terdiri dari 190 meter (jembatan), 160 meter (oprit sisi Jalan Basuki Rahmad), dan 310 meter (oprit sisi Jalan R.Sukamto). Pekerjaan fisik flyover dikerjakan Balai Besar Pelaksanaan Jalan Nasional (BBPJN) Sumatera Selatan, Direktorat Jenderal (Ditjen) Bina Marga dengan kontraktor PT Waskita Karya dan PT Kencana (KSO) dengan dana yang bersumber dari Surat Berharga Syariat Negara senilai Rp152 miliar.
Berdasarkan data, hingga saat ini progres fisiknya mencapai 46,39 persen. Pada flyover Sekip ini juga akan dilakukan beautifikasi ornamen bangunan dengan mengedepankan seni dan budaya lokal, sehingga dapat memperindah wajah Kota Palembang.
Turut hadir dalam tinjauan tersebut Inspektur Jenderal Kementerian PUPR T Iskandar, Direktur Jenderal Bina Marga Kementerian PUPR Hedy Rahadian, Direktur Jenderal Cipta Karya Kementerian PUPR Diana Kusumastuti, Staf Ahli Menteri PUPR Bidang Teknologi, Industri dan Lingkungan, Endra S. Atmawidjaja, Kepala BBPJN Sumatera Selatan Kementerian PUPR Hardy P Siahaan, Kepala BPPW Sumatera Selatan Achmad Irwan Kusuma, Kepala BBWS Sumatera VIII Maman Noprayamin, dan Kepala Balai P2P Sumatera V Johnny Rakhman.
