SIARDAILY, Jakarta – Sebanyak lima bendungan yang merupakan Proyek Strategis Nasional (PSN) siap diresmikan di awal 2024. Lima bendungan tersebut, yaitu Bendungan Karian, Cipanas, Sepaku Semoi, Tiu Suntuk, dan Lolak.
“Hal ini merupakan upaya nyata pemerintah, menambah tampungan air di berbagai wilayah untuk ketahanan air dan pangan kita, sekaligus mitigasi terhadap dampak perubahan iklim,” kata Staf Ahli Menteri PUPR Bidang Teknologi, Industri, dan Lingkungan, Endra S. Atmawidjaja, seperti dikutip dalam keterangan resminya, Sabtu 9 Desember 2023.
Seperti diketahui, Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat melalui Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya Air terus melakukan pembangunan infrastruktur sumber daya air untuk mendukung terciptanya ketahanan air dan pangan di Indonesia, salah satunya bendungan.

Juru Bicara Kementerian PUPR itu menjelaskan, Bendungan Karian dengan kapasitas tampung 314.7 juta meter kubik (m3) akan menambah suplesi ke Daerah Irigasi (DI) Ciujung dengan luas 22 ribu hektare. Selain irigasi, Bendungan Karian akan menyediakan air baku untuk kebutuhan rumah-tangga, dan industri di sembilan kota/kabupaten di Provinsi Jakarta dan Banten sebesar 14,6 m3/detik, yakni Kota Serang, Kabupaten Serang, dan Kota Cilegon sebesar 1,5 m3/detik, dan Maja Kabupaten Lebak sebesar 0,6 m3/detik.
Kemudian, Kabupaten Bogor sebesar 0,2 m3/detik, Kabupaten Tangerang sebesar 3,6 m3/detik, Kota Tangerang sebesar 2,0 m3/detik, Kota Tangerang Selatan sebesar 1,8 m3/detik, dan Kota Jakarta Barat sebesar 4,2 m3/detik.
Selanjutnya, kata Endra. Bendungan Cipanas diproyeksikan untuk menambah suplai air irigasi pertanian di Kabupaten Sumedang dan Indramayu seluas 9.273 hektare, khususnya di Daerah Irigasi (DI) Cipanas, Cikawung, dan Cibunut. Bendungan Cipanas juga diharapkan dapat memenuhi air baku sebesar 850 liter/detik bagi kawasan industri Rebana dan kawasan permukiman, termasuk Bandara Kertajati.
Berikutnya, Bendungan Sepaku Semoi siap diresmikan dan difungsikan untuk penyediaan air baku di kawasan IKN dengan kapasitas sebesar 2.000 liter/detik dan untuk Balikpapan sebesar 500 liter/detik. Bendungan Sepaku Semoi, juga memiliki kemampuan reduksi banjir hingga 232 m3/ detik atau sebesar 55% untuk Kawasan IKN dan Kecamatan Sepaku.
Selanjutnya, Bendungan Tiu Suntuk yang berlokasi di Sumbawa Barat dibangun sejak Februari 2020, dengan biaya sebesar Rp1,22 triliun. Dengan kapasitas tampungan 55,90 juta m3 dan luas genangan 312,09 Ha, Bendungan Tiu Suntuk nantinya mampu menyuplai air baku sebesar 68 liter/detik, daerah irigasi seluas 1.900 Ha, serta memiliki potensi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro (PLTM) sebesar 0,81 MW, reduksi banjir sebesar 390 m3/detik, dan potensi sebagai tempat konservasi, tempat pariwisata, dan perikanan darat.
“Terakhir, untuk Bendungan Lolak memiliki luas area genangan 97,5 hektar, yang direncanakan saat beroperasi untuk memasok air irigasi seluas 2.214 hektare, mendukung penyediaan air baku 500 liter/detik, pariwisata, konservasi air dan memiliki potensi tenaga listrik 2,43 megawatt. (asp)
