SIARDAILY, Sumatera Utara – PT Hutama Karya (Persero) dan PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) memperpanjang pengoperasian secara fungsional Jalan Tol Indrapura – Kisaran Seksi II (Lima Puluh – Kisaran) dan Tebing Tinggi – Sinaksak menjadi berakhir hingga Minggu 21 April 2024, Pukul 23.59 WIB.
Executive Vice President (EVP) Sekretaris Perusahaan, Adjib Al Hakim mengatakan, perpanjangan fungsional kedua jalan tol tersebut dilakukan atas pertimbangan masih tingginya arus balik Lebaran 2024, yang akan melintas di jalan tol tersebut.
“Kebijakan ini sesuai dengan hasil analisa dan evaluasi Operasi Ketupat Toba 2024, di mana kami berkoordinasi dengan Dirlantas Polda Sumatera Utara. Dengan perpanjangan fungsional jalan tol ini, diharapkan menjadi alternatif jalan dan mengurai kepadatan jalan nasional,” ujar Adjib dalam keterangan resminya, Rabu 17 April 2024.

Adapun sebelumnya, kedua ruas tol tersebut dioperasikan secara fungsional sejak 4 April 2024, dengan Volume Lalu Lintas (VLL) yang cukup tinggi, mengingat jalan tol ini bisa memangkas setengah waktu tempuh perjalanan yang dari Medan menuju Kisaran yang semula lima jam menjadi dua jam 30 menit dan Tebing Tinggi menuju sinaksak dari 90 menit menjadi 35 menit saja.
Sementara itu, pengguna jalan tol diimbau untuk tetap menyiapkan Kartu Uang Elektronik (UE) dan mengecek kecukupan saldo karena Tol Tebing Tinggi – Indrapura dan Tol Indrapura – Kisaran Seksi I (Indrapura – Lima Puluh) sudah bertarif dan secara resmi terintegrasi dengan Tol MKTT, sehingga pengguna jalan tol tetap harus menggunakan satu kartu UE yang sama saat melintasi gerbang tol tersebut.
Pengguna jalan tol juga diimbau untuk berkendara sesuai dengan tata tertib dan ketentuan yang berlaku di jalan tol, dengan kecepatan minimum 60 km/jam dan maksimum 100 km/jam, tidak menggunakan bahu jalan kecuali dalam keadaan darurat, serta memantau seluruh informasi mudik di Trans Sumatera pada akun media sosial @HutamaKaryaTollRoad dan @HMWTollRoad.
