SIARDAILY, Pekanbaru – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) meresmikan Jalan Tol Pekanbaru-Padang Ruas Bangkinang-Pangkalan Seksi Bangkinang-XIII Koto Kampar di Provinsi Riau pada Jumat kemarin, 31 Mei 2024.
Presiden Jokowi mengatakan, ruas jalan tol sepanjang 24,7 kilometer ini merupakan bagian dari Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera yang dibangun sejak tahun 2019 hingga 2024, menggunakan anggaran sebesar Rp4,8 triliun.
“Saya titip kepada gubernur dan bupati, agar jalan tol ini didesain untuk disambungkan ke kawasan produktif, baik pertanian, perkebunan, dan pariwisata, sehingga betul-betul ada manfaatnya untuk perekonomian daerah. Mobilitas orang dan barang juga bisa lebih cepat lagi, sehingga bisa bersaing dengan negara lain,” kata Jokowi didampingi Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono.

Seksi Bangkinang-XIII Koto Kampar dibangun oleh PT Wijaya Karya Tbk dan PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur selaku kontraktor pelaksana. Sedangkan untuk pengelolaanya setelah beroperasi oleh PT Hutama Karya (Persero) selalu Badan Usaha Jalan Tol (BUJT).
Ruas tol ini memiliki manfaat untuk meningkatkan konektivitas dan aksesibilitas dari Kota Pekanbaru menuju Provinsi Sumatera Barat, meningkatkan ekonomi di Pekanbaru, khususnya pada Kabupaten Kampar.
Selain itu, meningkatkan efisiensi waktu tempuh dari Pekanbaru menuju Pangkalan (Batas Sumatera Barat), memudahkan akses ke kawasan pariwisata seperti Candi Muara Takus di Riau dan berbagai kawasan pariwisata lainnya di Sumatera Barat, serta menumbuhkan perekonomian wilayah, karena berfungsi sebagai jalur perdagangan dari Riau menuju Sumatera Barat.
Menteri Basuki mengatakan, selain seksi Bangkinang-XIII Koto Kampar yang diresmikan, ruas Jalan Tol Pekanbaru-Padang seksi Pekanbaru-Bangkinang juga telah diresmikan dan dioperasikan sejak awal 2023 lalu. (asp)
